This all round dressing is good for salads, wraps and even as a vegestable marinade. It has high nutritional values – and an amazing round taste. Including tahini in your diet could be a good substitute for dairy milk, and it will even give your salads a good protein source.
There are big health benefits to eating tahini dressings on your salad. It’s a very good oil substitute, because it has less calories and also comes with a good amount of fiber. Tahini is toasted sesame seeds that is grounded down to a simple paste. It is a common ingredient in the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern diet. Tahini is high in fiber, protein, and several important vitamins and minerals, like calcium and iron. Studies show sesamol, a natural chemical found in sesame seeds and sesame oil, has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging benefits.
Ingredients
125 ml Water
20 ml Lemon Juice
90 gr. Light/Golden Tahini
(You can also use dark tahini, but then the dressing will be dark.)
2. gr. Salt
Additional
This dressing is very good as it is. Are you interested in experimenting, then you can add you favourite herbs and/or spices.
You can easily make double portions, because it stay good for at least a week in the refrigerator.
Instructions
Put all ingredients in a jar with lid. Then shake well until all ingredients are mixed. The dressing will thicken when shaken.
Another way: Put all ingredients into a blender and blend well.
Eat the dressing right away or refrigerate. When put in refrigerator it will thicken as I cools down.
Thickness can easily be adjusted by adding more or less water.
