Quick Fried Beans Mexican Style

Beans can be tasty and delicious. It’s an easy ingredients to get your hands on in every country. When diving down in ancient food history you will find that beans has had an important role delivering important nutrients.

In Mexico there were the mayans. They were hard working people building huge societies with big pyramids. They were also great warriors. Mainly running towards battles. It was important for these warriors that they were very strong, with high endurance. The Maya Warrior Diet was mostly focused on vegestables of different kinds to get protein. Most of their proteins were consumed from beans, maize and other legumes.

This recipe is inspired from their simple way of cooking. They use simple ingredients which most people nowadays can afford. Beans are rich in a number of important micronutrients, including potassium, magnesium, folate, iron, and zinc, and good quality protein. They are also rich in good amount of fiber as well as in starch, an important carbohydrate.

Scientific research suggests that diets that include beans reduce low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, favorably affect risk factors for metabolic syndrome, and reduce risk of ischemic heart disease and diabetes.

Ingredients

1 can of ready to eat Black Beans

1 big Tomato

1 Green Bell Pepper

1 medium Onion

1 tbsp. Mexican Taco Spices

– be aware of the salt content of the spices. Some has no salt, some has little and some has a lot. If you have one with no salt, you will need to but in some salt yourself.

Instructions

Chop all vegestables and put on to a frying pan. Put on medium heat and let it all simmer. If it is starting to stick to the frying pan then use a pit of water.

Drain the can of black beans, and rinse the beans in water. Then mix in the beans with the frying vegestables. Let it cook for a couple of minutes.

Stir well so it does not stick to pan. While stirring mush half of all the beans.
